Mother Nurture Groups

CMWA's Mother Nurture Group runs during term time in Fremantle on Thursday at CMWA 1/40 Pearse St North Fremantle, at Armadale on Tuesday afternoons at the Conscious Conception and Birth Centre 1 Lefroy Road, Armadale.  Making Sense of Motherhood Groups run at Joondalup Women's Healthworks.

Mother Nurture Groups are run as a closed therapeutic group for mothers and their babies in the first months of parenthood.  Each group has 2 facilitators, women with special expertise in Infant Parent relationships.  Topics covered include self nurturing activities, "tool box" of coping techniques, early parenting skills including understanding baby's communication, dealing with ambivalent emotions, challenges in partner and family of origin relationships, debriefing birth trauma, sharing stories and developing support networks.
